FRAMINGHAM -- Things got heated in the hot sun Sunday when a group of unruly swimmers shoved two lifeguards into Learned Pond after the swimmers were repeatedly told to cut down on their horseplay.

Police are now trying to find the men who threw lifeguards Marissa Kenney, 19, and Calin S. Neagoe, 23, into the pond, Lt. Vincent Alfano said.

"The group of men had been repeatedly warned about their beach behavior and inappropriate swimming behavior," said Alfano. "He (Neagoe) and Kenney had advised the men that it is not allowed to jump off the dock, backflipping into the water. They were pushed into the water by the same group."
