I have a grammatical question... (did I spell that < right?)
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 04:36 PM by battleknight24
I read a post of an article on freerepublic.com about how despite the supreme court's ruling, huge numbers of people will continue to download music illegally. A freeper posted this...

"The good news is that the liberals in Hollywood will continue to loose money..."

So is it "lose" or "loose"? Please let me know...

Peace,

3. also
don't you have "A" grammatical question? I know you didn't ask but I thought the rule was to use a unless followed by a vowel or a silent "h"

I generally avoid the grammar police role, but as this was a grammar thread, I couldn't resist :)

Poster SOOO caught the freep, but made a similar mistake.. oh well... but i think this is the rule... with double "oo" the "s" is softer and with one "o" the "s" is harder...

5. Lose...
"Loose" implies that the liberals in Hollywood will continue to untighten money. They may be loose, but they're not losing money.

Did you lose your loose tooth?
