I wanna scream
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 06:26 PM by undeterred
but I'll rant instead. I posted about a week ago that I got a job for the first time in 4 years.

The people at Corporate Headquarters in NY were done interviewing me and said they wanted to hire me.

The next day they called back and said they wanted me to 'interview' with the local office too, so they would have a part in the hiring process. I spent a couple of hours at the office with 4 different people on Monday and it went fine, as far as I am concerned.

In my mind the question is "When are they going to offer me this job? What is holding this up?"

This afternoon I get a phone message from the NY office asking for reference information. I gave that to them when I filled out the application (2 weeks ago) and I presumed they had made some calls already if they were going to.

So now I have to gracefully give them information that I've already given them two weeks ago.

How can they tell me that the job is mine- no other candidates being considered- but still put me through more exercises!

:banghead: :banghead:

2. In georgie's America...
..you have to take it that way. Just be very pleasant about it and submit the info. Maybe someone else messed up and lost it, so give them the benefit of the doubt.
If you get the job it won't matter and at least you will have a good job. I hope it is only a technicality. Here's to you and your new job.:)
