of course, everything else in our lives has gotten busy and demanding the second we welcome a guest in the house...it's been nuts. and she speaks A LOT less English than we thought, so it's a challenge for she and I to communicate. DH has no problem, but he works so much, he's just not home that much. We do okay though, she's realy nice and outgoing, which helps. It's only day two!!!!!!!!! feels like it's been a week!

I am sure by this time next next week, we will be settled into a routine and communicating mucho mejor. ;-)

thanks for asking, I have just been too tired to start my own thread about it. There's more to say, but I gotta go to bed!

I'll be wine tasting at 10am, bright and early tomorrow! (I have a different visitor to entertain, and dh has to work. this visitor is a business associate of the dh.) The boss's wife is never done hostessing...we were at lunch today from 2-4:30, then dinner from 9pm-12am. Phew.

Life does seem to be "feast or famine" -- I've got so much to do, but I'm not getting anything done, and I don't even have the excuse of a foreign visitor. Just keep smiling and nodding, and I'm sure you'll get along great.

14. we keep joking that this is my spanish course as much as it is her

english course! I do enjoy it, but with a business guest, our spanish guest, the kittens and mamma cat, flea and the dh...I am pooped. yet still awake at 3am...wtf?

It will go by very quickly, and I can see us really missing her when she's gone. It's good for us to have young people around, keeps us young too. His job keeps us surrounded during the summer, as they are 95% of his work force, but it's nice to get close to a teenager once in a while.

anyway...nope, not on ignore

Slept like the dead, much earlier, to the point that I didn't hear the doorbell, when my friend came to check up on me, wondering why I was MIA. And, what was scarier, neither of my noisy dogs reacted, either. Normally, they bark at anything that moves!:shrug:
