Vancouver sets record for least hours of sunshine in June

3. Less that Cleveland?

Although this year we have had more sun than I can remember.
This city is always cloudy dark and cold. Even in August rare to see 80.
Cheer up at least Vancouver is a pretty place. Cleveland sits on a lake named Erie.

Back east, they might keep track of the (humidex?) but here we keep track of hours of sunshine. It's a byproduct of living in a place with a lot of rain.

But I remember reading somewhere that Cleveland actually has less hours of sunshine than Seattle.
If I had my choice, I would choose Seattle or Vancouver over this place.

10. I don't think Vancouver is nearly as cloudy as Seattle.

I could be wrong, but I know Victoria and the San Juan Islands are on a weird "sun belt," that keeps them a bit drier and sunnier than much of the rest of Washington and BC. Heck, the coastal area north of Vancouver is referred to as the Sunshine Coast, and it's been true whenever I've been there.

I've always heard that the Sunshine Coast is rainy. Kind of a Greenland/Iceland sort of thing.

9. Portland's in the same boat. Paying for having summer in Jan/Feb/March!

I went surfing without a wet suit (something I've done only three or four times in the northwest) in February! It was 75 degrees at the coast! Well, we had to do something since there was no snow, right!?

But, yeah, we've paid for it since late March.
