4. RealAlternative and QuicktimeAlternative - GET THEM!

They allow you to play RealPlayer and Quicktime files in old Windows Media Player Classic (which you have, even if you upgraded). No adds, no banners, no obnoxious skins, no stupid "content lists". Just the god damned file you clicked on in the first place.

Just like any normal program. Quicktime and Realplayer are bullshit. The free video codecs are always the best ones, because they are driven by people who want good video, not by people who want market share.

It's beta but a very active project. I've been real happy with it. It may be too much for a laptop.
