My apartment building management has just made me reach the end of my rope. They were supposed to fix a wall that had cracked and re-hang a curtain rod. The rod is now so crooked and the curtains are inside out. I called to complain about this and I have never experienced any group of people so rude and insulting. I have made a complaint to the corporate office about this. She called me a "white bitch" and told me to "go to hell".

I have never in my life been treated this way. I will have her job when all is said and done. There is no excuse for her to act this way. I am paying 1100.00 a month for an apartment that is falling around me and they want me to deal with being insulted and attacked with racial slurs.

I have no idea what to do. These kinds of people are employed, and yet I sit here without a job? I am moving. I can't deal with this anymore.

1. There should be a tenant's council or mediation there.

I'd contact them, and see what your options are.

I am too angry to google. I have a friend who lives in a housing project and she is amazed that I have to deal with so much crap. I pay for supposedly one of the most prestigous areas in Chicago, and pay through the nose for a building that has not been renovated since the Hoover administration.

You can own your own place! Unless you're in a big metro area? My daughter's in NYC and she thanks the Landlord Gods everyday she experiences the joy of running water, heat in the winter and a toilet that flushes! Her bathtub's in the kitchen too. Pest control are her two cats, which helps keep the mice out of her circa '36 stove and roaches from reaching maturity. She only pays 1k/mo though:silly:

Seriously, she loves her neighborhood and knows all these problems will get her out of her lease, which the "morans" want her to do so they can charge their next victim $500 more a month. Sad, isn't it?
