I am on a Queen kick.
I have been listening to "Classic Queen" a lot and just picked up the Greatest Hits to complement Classic Queen. Thank you "Bohemian Rhapsody".

1. Oh...listen to the first two albums...
and even Sheer Heart Attack. They kinda went downhill after that.

4. My thoughts exactly
The first album is surprisingly tough -- Freddie was still trying to be a macho frontman (no quaint little ditties on that one).

5. Queen I is great
Freddie was still trying to be a macho frontman (concealing his D'Oyly Carte side); you won't find any trilly ditties on that LP.

2. Ever notice how much May's playing tributes to Bo Diddley?
Very subtle, but also very cool.

LOVE Queen- they freaking rock.

3. Queen had some great music- a movie suggestion.....
You have to watch "Shaun of the dead" a spoof of "dawn of the dead". There is a a scene that features a Queen song, sychronized zombie beating!

6. If you wanna listen to Queen skip the greatest hits stuff
Some of the best Queen is the stuff that never makes greatest hits albums - my favorite two being "Some Day One Day" off of Queen II and "Drowse" off of "Night at the Opera". Roger Taylor and Brian May wrote and sang some really great songs but the big hits were the ones that Freddie sang since he had the most stage presense. I'm not keen on the Queen+Paul Rodgers tour that is happening but the good thing is some of the Taylor/May songs are being performed live for the first time!

7. Some Day, One Day -- I forgot about that song
what a great song.

I always liked "Killer Queen", too. And "Brighton Rock" (is that the name?)
