Could someone explain how to free up disk space on my scratch drive?

Because you don't have enough free space to cache the file for burning?
First, delete all of your porn and spyware.

And how did you know I had porn? :P LOL I have spysweeper and norton. Don't they automatically get rid of the spyware periodically?

I'm on a Mac, so spyware hasn't bothered me. But you might try clearing your browser's cache and deleting programs and documents you don't need anymore. Clean up your e-mail inbox. And the attachments directory that goes with it. It's amazing how much space that stuff can use. And while you're at it, optimize.

13. I'm deleting the cookies file and cleaning a couple things up.

But I am still unable to scan some pictures. I'm ready to try the jackhammer suggestion. lol Actually, I think I'll just trot on down to Best Buy in the morning and have one of those computer guys help me.

p.s. Sure thing. I've got several vacation pictures I can post. We recently went to Bora Bora and it was amazing! You just cannot believe how beautiful it is. The water is just unbelievable.
