I had an awful wave of foreboding when some threads were pulled at the family's request. I'd stumbled across that same poem and copied it a week or so ago. Posted it to Flyarm's thread when I saw it this morning... :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

4. I have always loved that poem...

but I also get a lot out of going to cemetaries, even if I don't know anyone there. Very peaceful places.

and of course Andy didn't really die, he lives on in DU...the fight goes on!

10. This is beautiful. I sent this to my mom in 2001

when she was in deep grief about my brother's death by suicide. I found it to be very comforting as did she.

As Yoda said in Revenge of the Sith...

Andy is now part of the Force (however you define it, be it the energy in the universe or whatever).

I've been in the grips of a very specific fear recently. I'm afraid I'm going to die (of esophageal cancer) and that my personality won't dissipate, but remain intact, and I'll be trapped in death, fully aware and away from everyone I love.

I've heard this poem before, but thanks for the reminder. It's very comforting. I'll try to keep it in mind.
