You learn something new every day..."Camelback Colonic"
This is the time of year when the summer heat in desert areas claim lives. My wife is a vet, and deals mainly wth pets, but also was taught that an anal injection of water, given to an animal that was hypothermic and would not drink, can save that life. If someone passes out on the trail in front of you and seems to be unresponsive and will not drink, give them a "camelback colonic". The procedeure would be to raise the posterior and insert the hose of your water pack (after removing the bite valve) at least 6 inches into the colon of the victim, and forcing water into the colon. This would be a last ditch effort, but I just wanted to pass it on, as it could save a life somewhere, sometime. I have never read this in a survival book, but I guess you have to study some kind of medicine for that kind of knowledge.

3. Makes sense
In the colon, the water will be immediately absorbed.

5. I will put this into my will rite away.
...and if I am dehydrated and unresponsive, I would like to be saved by "camelback colonic" means if necessary.

Another life-saving tip...

If you are alone and having a heart attack, you can use the "cough" technique. You cough as hard as you possibly can, repeatadly, and this will help to regulate your heart beat. Which is what you want to do during a heart attack.

I would post a link but I do not know how yet. Sorry.

And if anyone has severe sciatic pain they would like to manage, let me know and I will tell you of a technique for that.
