My office manager lied about the cockroach problem in our building.

People have seen a few cockroaches in the bathroom and all that...it's not a huge problem and they have exterminators coming in regularly so it's not that bad. It's a little puzzling why they'd be in an office building on the 28th floor, but I guess it happens. Plus the exterminators spray, which smells bad and is not really the best way to get them because they run away somewhere else, but oh well.

What puzzles me is that the office manager told us a while ago to clean up after ourselves better in the breakroom because we might get them, but when I asked her if we had them she said no. Then after I heard someone tell me about the two she saw in the bathroom, I asked the office manager again if they were still seeing them and she said they'd never had them. When I reminded her that a co-worker had reported them she was like "that was like six months ago!"

Now what I wonder is, why would she lie about all this and cover it up? I would want people to know so that they don't eat at their desks and clean up their clutter and stuff like that.

And yeah, they do work pretty well...they say in the article that sales of pest control products drop 3%-5% a year because they work so well that the problems don't spread as easily...they credit the stuff in Combat.
