I did make-up for a Fred Friendly PBS seminar (where they get leaders and luminaries from the left right and center to debate constitutional issues). Got to do make-up for Barbara Boxer, Stephen Breyer and others. My friend did Haig's make-up, and before long they were chatting about Palm Beach, or whatever expensive Florida town they both "wintered" in.

The two things that surprised me that day were 1) what a tough guy Barney Frank is and how respected/feared he was among the group and 2) what a charmer Haig was.
