Sending good vibes his way, I hope he ends up being OK. A scary experience, I'm sure!

3. I'm sorry to hear that, LK . . .
I believe that life is cyclical, rather than linear, and we're in a difficult cycle right now.

5. roughest cycle ive been through
but maybe im just too damn young for my own good in that respect.

this summer; ive had my heart broken, been to 2 funerals of highschool friends (we are just 1 year out of graduation). 1 relative with a NEW brain tumor, one with a continuing, similar condition. unemployment up until recently. a friend with a near scare in london a few days ago (she was on her way to one of the train stations when it happened, shes alright thank god). and this.

all this freakin death around me. im not supposed to be this aware of mortality at age 19. i miss being invincible.

6. Good stuff.
You had your heart broken, and you survived.
Your two high school friends are now free.
Your family member with a brain tumor has you for love and support.
You're no longer unemployed.
Your friend survived her brush with fate in London.

Awareness of motality is awareness of a natural fact of life, so you're probably far ahead of many of your peers. Invincibility is a lie, and I wish I'd known that when I was 19.

7. my friends are free, but nonetheless dead.
both by their own hand, as well. i saw one of them not a month before, and he seemed distressed. but not THAT down. just sets my mind in motion considering i had been considering that course of action recently. im not any longer, just i had been.

sorry. i bitch too much. i need to tone down the venting. im sorry everyone.

8. I know, LK.
I don't think you bitch too much. Seems to me that you're expressing your bewilderment.

Never give up on _you_, OK?

13. OK, you dared me.
This is my sister-in-law's boy cat, Barley, who comes begging at my patio door every single morning.

17. He always looks like that.
He's the most annoying cat on earth, and I throw literally _handfuls_ of dry cat food out the door just to get him to go away. When he sneaks indoors, he walks on the fax machine (generating wrong numbers and test sheets), the printer (had to extricate his tail once), the altar (cat hair on the Buddha, not a pretty sight), etc.

I'm still wondering why my sister-in-law has put a fluorescent pink collar on him, and further, why she put it on so tight.

11. Please do not give up
It truly does get better.

My heart is still broken over the death of one of my 14 year old son's friends at his own hand...He was a bright and beautiful child, a very popular kid at school, but he, for whatever reason, had a darkness in his soul that blocked out the light.

dont think ill break that habbit with anything as big and decisive as life.

i can see that it will get better, someday... somehow... donno how or under what circumstances it could. but im somehow maintaining that it will.

i had a 3 hour conversation with one of my best friends/Lifting Partner just recently. we never really went all that deep into any of it because - well were guys and we dont talk about feelings too deeply unless were pissed at something (or oddly in the weight room, but anyway) but it helped, quite a bit. hes gonna be my roomate this year and hes promising that he will make my life better, if not more interesting. whatever that means lol.

This year hasn't been a banner one for me either so I know some of what you're talking about.
