The guy who is singing is no freddie Mercury
This guy pales in comaparison to freddie. It is almost unlistenable with freddie there. (Listening to Live 8 now on VH1)

3. Yeah, but Robbie Williams ruled in that 2nd song
I was pretty impressed by him. BTW, Green Day did "We are the Champions" and it wasn't that good (although the rest of Green Day's set ROCKED!!!)

4. Robbie is extremely charismatic, IMO.
A great example of star quality I think.
I've heard his music (regular pop stuff I guess) and wasn't impressed with the videos...but on the stage it's clear he works it.

Similar to Madonna, in a way.

5. why the heck
Green Day ever did "we are the champions" after slaying them with the self effacing and wickedly honest "American Idiot" I cannot comprehend.

Outrageously poor an innappropriate choice after all that's transpired. IMHO
