I love watching the weather commentators when the storm is coming in
For some reason, it tickles me to see these folks in the raincoats getting pelted with rain and blown about. I suppose I would find it funny if I was there, as well. It is the best unintentional comedy ever!

3. It really has. I live in Florida, so I am used to it
I suppose it is the only cliche I find entertaining, and it is not meant to be.

Those people really are putting themselves at some risk, in my view needlessly. Unless they are able to give a tornado warning from seeing one out there, I don't see what the real purpose in having them out there is.

2. I know what you mean, I can't wait until tomorrow when
Dennis makes landfall and all these asshats are standing out in a hurricane.

The Weather Channel has been increasingly funny all day today. They have two "correspondents" one in Penscola Beach and one in Panama City Beach. The report just before 5:00 pm CDT only featured the guy in Panama City Beach. It hasn't even begun to rain there yet, but you could see the storm clouds coming in.

I'm not trying to make light of the damage that hurricanes do. I only hope and pray that all those people along the Gulf Coast and in the panhandle of Florida escape with minimal damage. Hell, some of them still don't have a roof on their homes from last year.

I just don't understand why a rational human being would want to stand in the middle of a hurricane with debris flying around.

5. I think the one guy on the weather channel had his hair blown out
A few years ago, when he started this, he had hair.

I feel the same way about the storms, though. Living in Orlando, I only saw some of what the storms could cause last year. The coast gets the worst part of them. The panhandle seems to get a lot of them. I hope this one isn't bad.

4. There's a hilarious book
by Dave Barry called "Tricky Business" that has a news channel that keeps sending ill-fated teams to the middle of a hurricane. A great spoof of this nonsense.
