I put on the video of "Delicate Sound of Thunder". I am going to watch it for a while. It is from 1989 and it a great concert film. Anyone else have this?
Here is one of my Pink Floyd stories. Back in 88-89 or so Pink Floyd played at our old Cleveland stadium. Of course I had to go so...well, I went. Before we got there someone put LSD in my mouth (The bastards!). So I knew I was in for a trip. The skies were dark and it looked like rain. At intermission between sets, the skies burst open and it stormed like hell. Luckily I was under some grandstands so I didn't get wet, but the people on the ground were getting soaked beyond waterlogged. The Pink Floyd crew came out and covered the equipment and it looked like it might be the end of the show. All of a sudden the crowed just started yelling and screaming and in a split of a second the rain stopped and the sun burst through the skies. The whole audience erupted into applause. The crew came out and took the covers off of the equipment and in a few minute Floyd was back out on the stage. David walked up to the mic and said "Well, when Cleveland wants a concert..they really want a concert". It was pretty cool. By this time the stuff that I was given was kicking in pretty heavy and the music was sounding pretty damned good. The old Stadium was out by the bank of Lake Erie and while Pink Floyd played, lightning was flashing behind them off the lake the rest of the night which seemed to be timed perfectly to the music. It was one concert that I will always remember, not only for the music, but for the mental pictures I still have in my mind these many years later.
