The latest saga from the fundie side of my family.
Edited on Sun Jul-10-05 01:08 AM by Sannum
Yes, there is a fundie side of the extended family. I was forced to go to hick weddings when they married their perfect Christian/Aggie boyfriends:crazy:. Everytime they see me, they think I should be married to a farmer, barefoot and pregnant...When holidays were spent with them a few years back, they tried to talk about the "Joy of Submission". I told them thanks for the advice, but that sounded like some sort of weird link you would find on the internet, not a marriage/relationship strategy. They don't like me because I am independent and of course, a liberal. The rest of the family sort of mock them, so I am safe:evilgrin:. They tolorate the rest of the family because they do not push politics, but hell, I will say anything anywhere.

Anyway, Sandi and her husband Jacoby (I am not making these up) were having trouble concieving a child. Well, since they felt it was god's will that they have lil' fundie babies, they underwent fertility treatment. The treatment took hold very well. Sandi is now expecting Quints:eyes:. My whole joke about this was they were fertile, but they didn't know how the plumbing worked.

Anyway, now he is apparently been caught having an affair with a waitress at their local Denny's.

Is it wrong to laugh about this?

Edit: Quads, not Quints. I always get those two mixed up! No wonder I failed math class!

19. No, no...I went to A&M, but I'm not the typical Aggie.
There are several of us here, actually.

11. You have every right to laugh your ass off!
I did for a short amount of time at one of my own family members. She's a fundie and believes that she is perfect. It was freakin' hilarious when they found out that she was drinking rubbing alcohol to get a buzz (and vanilla extract and anything else that had any kind of alcohol to it)!
Proves that they are idiots.

12. It depends on how funny you think it would be if Sandi were left alone...
with 5 babies to raise on her own. This could be a seriously bad situation.

15. They are actually staying together.
They don't believe in divorce, so they will live together in mutual loathing for the rest of their lives, probably. Divorce is a sin, ya know:eyes:
