Does it count if I covered it with two slices of cheese and Miracle Whip?

So what do you think?

I'm a meat-eater who has very little inclination to change on moral grounds, but they are clearly better for you, so I might start mixing in one every once in a while.

Is it tasty?

7. That's not a particularly ringing taste endorsement.
I'll still try one.

29. I'm a dyed int eh wool red meat eater wh's had to give it up due
to CAD.

I just ate one myself, and I can HONESTKY say it was better than the last reakl hamburger I ate.

They really are pretty good. Nt vegetarian hubby doesn't like them because they taste too much like hamburger.

If it gives me another hour of living, I consider it worth it--it is a small sacrifice.

4. Are you transported back to junior high
and the visceral memory of the "high-quality" burgers you had in the cafeteria?

That's what those things taste like to me. Not bad...but sort of like a relic from childhood.

(We also had green hot dogs and pudding you could blow a bubble with. Mmmmm.)

20. I'm the same way.
I'm an omnivore, but have several veggie friends. When I eat non-meat meals I eat TONS, or still feel hungry.

24. They're actually not that bad.
I was vegan for 7 years. I liked Boca products. Still use their crumbled veggie meat for tacos and the like. I've recently started eating chicken and beef again. Don't ask me why. I was just feeling the need for more protein. I'm a backsliding vegan now. :-)

25. If you're not actually vegan and just vegetarian
Morningstar Farms is way better than Boca.

If you're vegan, you're shit out of luck. I still think the vegan burgers taste like paper bags. You just have to be a bit more creative with your food.

27. There were a lot of vegans at the last summer job I worked at...
...we did a potluck one day, and I actually made my wild mushroom risotto vegan-friendly so that everyone could have some. Actually, we meat-eaters eat a lot of the same stuff vegans eat every day, only we add meat and dairy to it, sometimes.

31. I used to love Boca stuff
Till I developed all my food allergies, including soy and sulfites. It's amazing to go the "organic" section of your local grocery and realize all the additives in all those soy and tofu products. Unless you shop a real strict organic store, most of that stuff the big chains palm off on you is riddled with junk.

But Garlic Boca burger has livened up many meals of blanched veggies for me. I wish I could still eat it.

32. I have tried to eat those things
But I can't. Well I can if it is covered in condiments and on a bun; then I hardly notice the non-taste. What was really gross were the sausages. Supposed to be like bratwurst or something. Actually it was the texture that was the worst. Really mushy, not like Brats are at all. I followed the directions on the package but it was just disgusting. So I think I'll stick with actual meat. And here I was trying to do something healthy. The quality will have to improve significantly if I am going to eat that crap ever again.
