Users of personal ad services... when someone 2x your age responds,
how do you feel?

Or if you're at a church and the only one who talks to you is someone old enough to be your dad or, worse, grandpa, and they're actually coming onto you?

1. Run, don't walk .... and HIDE.
If you've listed your 'preferences' along with your own statistics and this person OBVIOUSLY is waaaaaay out on the fringes of what you've stated you're looking for ... then they're either really farking STUPID, desperate, unable to read, or indiscriminate to respond when they're basically guaranteed that you won't be interested in them.

JMHO.

Good luck ! :hi:

2. If someone twice my age responded to my personal ad....
they'd be over 100.

And my SO would object.

I agree with the advise given below. Run and hide.

3. Do you specify age in your ad?
If not, LOL, do. If you do and they respond anyway, you can say "I'm flattered, but I did specify...."

When someone that old comes up to me and tries to pick me up...dunno, hasn't happened yet.

But you can be a boy toy! And have a sugar daddy! (uh, LOL, I'm poor. the thought has crossed my mind. Very, very briefly. :scared: )

9. That's cool.
:-)

What may not be right for others, may be right to some.

I just get spazzed.

Of course, I'll get spazzed over anyone - I'll just pin that to my childhood too, teehee...

10. HT, if someone twice MY age responded to
personal ad, I'd be concerned because that person would be QUITE old. I think they call that the old elderly as opposed to the young elderly in their 60s.

Other than humor I don't know how to answer your question.

11. I am married and don't have an ad, but old men want me
I am not quite sure why that it is, but I am always being complimented or sexually harassed by older guys in their 50s and 60s. I am not sure why. I am only 27 and am mistaken as younger than older most of the time.

12. In regards to the personal ad, shrug and ignore
If you're at church, shame on them! They shouldn't be trying to hustle you at church!

When I was in my 20's, several of my friends' fathers tried to pick me up on one occasion or the other. It was wierd. I don't know why and I was NOT flattered. Plus it was awkward because I didn't really want to smack down a friend's father (particularly at the age when we were all still somewhat dependent on fathers).

At this point in my life, I could easily outrun most guys who are twice my age. As a matter of fact, most of them are dead.
