Riddle me this;
Enough people tell me that a date would make me feel better.

Yet I can't ever seem to GET a date; I creep 'em out too much it seems.

All I do is enter a room.

:wtf:

Maybe I really know why half the divorces fail. If people summarily think I'm a weirdo; what do they think of their own spouses? (that's a red herring. I know the answer... but having delved into that topic before, peoples' minds are too closed for me to go into it again.)

Ambiguity sucks. How can I be assertive in sotuations which clearly say "don't bother"?

1. I had exactly three dates in my entire life
when I started college. They ended nowhere. I decided I wasn't interested in the dating game, as I knew the type of person I was attracted to, and they just weren't around. And then, some 17 years later, I met my soul mate and we've been together ever since. Not the normal way of doing things, but it worked for me. Perhaps something like that will happen to you. I wish you all the best.

2. Thanks. But I still maintain time is not on my side.
I must be proactive.

And even then I must accept the probability of failure.

10. Thoughts are real
won't cost a thing to visualize yourself happy with someone.

3. You don't need a date.
You just need a small group of friends w/ similar interests. People that you can talk to and really connect w/ are a better find than any "date" that you might see only once or twice and have nothing in common with.
You are trying to get out there now. I think you'll start to meet people soon. You'll feel much better about yourself and your life when you make some friends. A good friend is worth much more than 1000 dates!

4. How about 1000 walnuts?
Dates and walnuts! :9

Forgive me; my sanity chip must be on the blink again. :D

7. It's ok.
If you look at some of my dates, 1000 walnuts would have been better!
And, of course, some of my dates were built like walnuts (but we won't go there right now).

Good luck to you. You sound a little bit better every single day.

8. Thank you.
I can always find a date but I can't always find someone who will become a dear friend.
When it comes down to it, friends are always better.

9. Dates don't mean anything.
Dates seem easy to get, but I find most people as dull as dirt (or completely incompatible with), so it doesn't matter. It's just nice when things click. A date when it doesn't is one step above a root canal. :D
