The boy's spent most of his life in urban/suburban areas, and managed to pick up Lyme Disease sometime in the last few weeks.

Also please post some sympathy for dolo -- she's taking care of him, and I'm sure they're driving each other batty.

10. I've had Lyme twice

If you catch it early enough, you can get rid of it easily with the antibiotics. I was fortunate enough to get it while in Westchester where the Doctors know what it is right away. My Dad had it after visiting us and went back to Wilmington, North Carolina. It was over a week before he was put on the antibiotics.

Well, Hedges, you can always you can always get high.......

I had a fever of 104. I was hallucinating. I had some joint pain, but not severe. My son got the bulls eye rash, so we put him on the antibiotics, and he developed no further symptoms.

11. There are a bunch of ladies from a neighboring town

who all came down with Lyme disease one summer. The only thing they found that eradicated their symptoms entirely was drinking Tahitian Noni Juice daily. It's a lot pricier than beer though.

Hope he caught it in time so as to not experience any long term repercussions.
