Looking for good, realtively cheap Web hosting, BUT...

...I don't want to be forced into one of those "let us build your site for you" deals that only allows you five or six pages for your entire site. I'd like to upload my own HTML files via FTP if possible.

And if they'll accept domain name transfers from other hosters, that's a big plus.

Any suggestions?

They have a really cheap ($3/mo.) basic package, and you're free to do whatever you want on your pages.

I transfered my site to them, gosh, probably going on 5 years ago now and it went fine.

9. Oh, I actually don't have anything up right now.

I'm re-tooling. But they do exactly what you want. You get a shell account which also allows FTP access, where you can dump whatever you want into your public_html directory. Even put your own CGI scripts up. Great service.
