Have to gloat -FINALLY DONATED TO DU!! Fuck the bills!

Honest, the mailman just picked up my check (I'm ssssoooo paranoid, that I won't pay over the internet for anything).

O.K. so it's not a big deal to a lot of DUer's. It is to me. I know a lot of you live paycheck to paycheck like me, but with only $270 left over each month for gas and emergencies, it took a lot of thought and planning. With hub's impending layoff, I figured that if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't be able to for a long time. I feel really bad posting here and not contributing - this website is my salvation (no kidding) for reasons we won't go into here. So, I said Fuck It and wrote the check.

'Work to live, not live to work' is a motto that W knows nothing about and if I ever hear him say it, I will puke.:puke:

DU is well worth whatever we can give, and in my case it's no large amount since I'm already having to work part-time to supplement the Soc Sec Bushie would love to snatch away from me. Like you, to me DU is my little refuge of sanity and common sense. Long may it wave!

posts. I shouldn't say that, but it's true.

What really bugs me aren't the low-post count folks. I figure someone's entitled to get to know the place for awhile before plunking down money.

But when I see someone with 1,000+ posts without a star, well, frankly, I have to wonder.

Some might have a legitimate excuse, but I always assume that most do not.

(I say this as someone who waited until I'd hit 1000 posts myself to donate, so make of this whatcha will.)
