Ronnie Montrose is an awesome guitarist. I love the first Montrose album, and his solo stuff is excellent from what I hear. It rocks.

1. Hehehe, his stuff with Gamma was just plain weird though.

Most of the stuff is out of print, but I know you can still get a "Best of" CD. See if you can track it down (particularly the weird synth heavy stuff like Condition Yellow). :)

2. I have the first album.

I got "The Speed of Sound" burned by a neighbor who is a big fan of Ronnie.

3. Gamma 3 is the one with Condition Yellow if I remember right.

It's a really synth heavy tune that I've loved since the first time I heard it back in '85 or so (if memory serves).
