Even with the employee pricing no Big Three truck |
|
appeals to me. I have a 10 year old Ford Ranger pickup with 100k plus miles and am looking to buy a new truck. My Ranger has been a good truck but they haven't been changed for 12 years or so. The new ones in my opinion have been cheapened up. The new GM Colorado and Canyon pickups are poorly built and the Dodge Dakota is a butt ugly gas hog. It's a shame the American auto industry has come to this, I saw a Chevy Avalance that was marked down over $10k and was still over $32000. I thought I would never buy a foreign made vehicle but the new Toyota Tacoma appears to be the best small truck on the market by far and would you believe Toyota is considering raising their prices to not give the Big Three to much competition and cause a backlash in the USA against foreign cars.

3. Nissan has a new mid-size that is interesting |

Something that has really turned me off to the Big Three was a couple years ago when the steel industry (where I work) asked for help from imports they fought tooth and nail to stop it. So why should I feel any loyalty to them now when they were willing to see my industry shut down so they could purchase illegally priced foreign imported steel.

4. If they made a small or midsize diesel truck they'd sell |
|
as many as they could put on the lot. Just TRY and find a used Isuzu diesel pickup or any other small diesel.
Lots of people who would run biodiesel don't because you have to drive a junker or a VW. Lot's of contracters are getting killed by high fuel prices. GM makes great diesels.
Why can't they figure this out?
