ENRON-The Smartest Guys in the Room
You have to see this movie. I knew most of it, but I was so incensed at the sheer horrible arrogance and thievery that went on there. I was ready to throw them all in jail for ever.
Skilling and Lay are up on trial in January next year.
I hope they get life and all their assets stripped. :grr:

1. Great film. Great dissection of a corporate fraud, perfectly
mirroring the many methods of the street con.

And indicting Bushco itself as the biggest fraud in history.

3. Their sheer audacity was mind-blowing

I loved Barbara Boxer giving it to Skilling - you could tell she pissed him off - someone should have said it to him long ago.
And I'm glad Arthut Anderson went out of business - they let this thievery go on under their very noses and signed off on it.
It was numbing to see what they were getting away with.

2. Where Can I See This Movie?
I live in northern Wisconsin, but I have been wondering about this movie. CNN had a short story on this a while back, and whoever was talking about it said it was more damaging to bu$h and F-911. Can I buy it somewhere?

12. Wausau, Green Bay, Appleton, Milwaukee if I Have To . . .
Wausau is about a half hour from me, Green Bay about an hour, and Milwaukee, 3 hours

8. Still on art-house tour, I think.
I imagine you'll be able to find it on DVD by the end of the year.

Their website is suh-weet!

4. Highly recommended.
Especially the Arnie/Enron meetings.

Gray Davis was set up.

9. They may do time but if the trial goes on for awhile
and they are in prison at the end of 2008, I can totally see * giving them a pardon. After all * can't be without Kenny-Boy Lay now can he?

10. All I could think, when we left the theater
was that, no doubt, most of Enron employees still voted for Bush last November
