I got The Metallica movie for my birthday
I am not a big metal fan, but I love rock and roll movies and documentaries. And since they had to use a therapist to continue to be creative, I was fascinated to see how that would play out.

So far it is also fascinating in the sense that these guys had such a rigid way of working together that they seemed to be incapapable of change without a therapist.

2. An absolutely hilarious documentary
they are such pampered idiots that they make the freaking Eagles look like down to earth guys.
I don't understand how people trapped in perpetual adolescence had so much trouble coming up with more teenage angst bullshit.
And Lars wouldn't know a groove if it smacked him in his pudgy face.

6. I'm a long time Metallica fan
I first discovered them when I was about 16 back in '88. I have to say that I'm much more a fan of the early stuff. I think they formed in'81 or '83. I've been wanting to get that documentary. I take it from your thoughts that it's worth a view?

it's cetainly an eye opener... and a view of the "internal workings" of the band, so to speak. I found it fascinating.
