Doctor Who trivia-- First Season
The first time a female companion of the Doctor tripped and fell, twisting her ankle while running from someone, was in episode 4-- "The Firemaker". It was the high school teacher, Barbera Wright (Jacqueline Hill). They were running from cave men.

Although I can't confirm it, I believe it happened in almost every episode thereafter, for the duration of the series.

1. I watched that episode a few days ago...
I recall the running/escape scene but nobody tripped...

2. Proof (very grainy, but proof nonetheless)

(I downloaded the entire William Hartnell Doctor Who run via Torrent. Don't tell anybody-- torrent downloads are a secret.)

3. Whoops! My memory cheats!
And only 3 days after the event!

Of course, how do you know they weren't doing anything nasty? :D

5. It didn't happen quite that often
although watching Susan trip over a blade of grass and twist her ankle in The Five Doctors was a hoot.

Khash.

6. It happened just about as often as the gravel quarry scene.
Which was OFTEN.

7. There was only ONE gravel quarry scene.
Hand of Fear.

The rest were all ALIEN PLANETS! Sheesh, some people don't know anything!

Khash.

8. Forgive me.
My TARDIS must be messing with my head again.

I HATE when that happens.
