I had a little chat today with a guy who said he is libertarian.

He was ONE confused son of a bitch.

On the one hand, he uttered gems like "NUKE IRAQ!" and "war is great!" (after which I asked him why he isn't over there and he mumbled something about an old foot injury).

He said he thinks we should torture prisoners some more, and bush is an ok guy.

BUT...he HATES rummy, he HATED Ashcroft and the Patriot Act, and he thinks all pot smokers should be lined up and killed.

Oh and of course, abolish the entire tax system. No revenue for the good ol' US anymore, according to him.

And shoot immigrants on sight. In case you are wondering, I was in the public library, looking at some history books and he struck up a conversation with me about a book I was holding--pretty innocent conversation at first, but it quickly got cuckoobananas, I told him he sounded like a highly confused individual and that he should really get that nasty hate looked at by a doctor, I think it's infected.

Then I went quickly to find my daughter in the juvenile book section. He kind of wandered out without checking anything out.

He was seriously creeping me out. I know there are some here who have libertarian tendencies, hell all Democrats do when it comes to issues of personal privacy, but this guy was just fucking NUTS.

usually they are all for pot legalization. I despise libertarians, or maybe that is too strong a word, how about "abhor"?
Actually I guess I am mostly libertarian on social issues, where this fellow was fascist, but I am more socialist or social democrat on economic issues, where this fellow was libertarian. I despise economic libertarians, which would certainly include Reagan, Bush and Dole in that group.
