Housing headache for giant bunny


Shelter assistant Shelley Sanders gets to grips with Henrietta

Plans to re-home a giant rabbit found roaming a town in south Devon have had to be delayed because a big enough hutch cannot be found for her.
The 2ft (0.6m) long, 2st (12kg) Flemish Giant rabbit was found by an off-duty policeman in a street in Torquay two weeks ago.

Since then, Henrietta has been cared for at the Animals in Distress centre in Ipplepen, near Newton Abbot.

The centre hopes that Henrietta will be at her new home by the end of the week, but Rescue Centre Manager Christine Paradine said some construction work needed to be completed first.

She said: "The new owner is having to have a shed built for her because she is too big for any hutch."

That is one BIG bunny! I had no idea that there were bunnies that big. The poor homeless thing was lost and hopping about Torquay before it was found.

I didn't know about the giant bunnies. I last saw the Teletubbies while on a morphine drip while recovering from major surgery. I highly reccomend watching the Teletubbies that way. :eyes:
