Job interview attire

I have an interview for a permanent job coming up in an office where I've worked many times as a freelancer. The dress code there is office casual, and that's how they've always seen me dressed. Should I wear a business suit for the interview, go office casual or go halfway with a jacket and tie? Wondering...

1. Never go halfway...

Personaly, Id wear a suit, but it sounds like you may be able to get by with biz casual since youve been there and they know you. Good luck either way.

2. Go formal.....

It's the gesture they will be looking for. They figure (subconciously or not)
that if the job is worth it to you, you will make the effort.

3. you want them to see you as an employee

dress a 1/2 step nicer than regular attire, but don't go overboard.

For example, if nobody wears a tie, putting on a tie would be ok. A tie and a sport coat would be a little much, but still in the ok range. But a suit would be too much.

By the way, this is all just my opinion. Whenever I was hiring, though, I liked when the interviewee blended in well with the rest of my staff.
