I posted about my hair disaster last night...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=3625770&mesg_id=3625770

And I have some time to kill before the man gets home, so I thought I would post what I ended up doing with it.

I have this (what I think is a) character flaw where when given a set of options, I go for the one nobody thinks of.

So, I didn't dye it all black. I didn't have my neighbor or the man help me fix the highlights. And I didn't go to a professional. What I did, was buy another box, and just did all of the hair on the top of my head from the roots down 3-4 inches. Since it's copper highlights, it ended up looking pretty cool fading into the black and dark red of the rest of my hair.

So here's pictures- don't mind the messiness, please. :)

3. I actually gave that some thought today
but for the length of my hair it would take 2 or 3 kits to do it, lol.

I may just do that in a few weeks though :7

7. Are your ends that color naturally or are they tinted?
Just wondering because if they are dyed dark it may be extremely difficult to lift the dye out. It so hard to get dark dye lifted beyond the orange stage. 2-3 applications of bleach still may not do it.

9. None of my hair is natural color
I've dyed my hair a ton of colors over the last several years.

Before I did this, it was black with a red tint, and the roots and random strands were dark red.

I didn't want bleach blonde, I didn't think blonde highlights (my original plan, highlights) would go well with the dark- so I got a copper highlight kit.

12. My hair has been through the ringer and back several times...
Over the years as well. I am a hairdresser. I now have people at work do my hair but I sometime touch up the roots I can easily see in the mirror.

I've been bleach blonde to bright red, dark red, light brown , dark brown.

Right now it's a light brown/dark blond with med/light blond highlights.

Did you use a kit that has and overall color and then paint on highlights? It's a nice color.
