*Pregnancy update* or my life is a Country Western song
JonathanChance looks to be the odds on favorite right now in the baby-pool (stupid Mods think they know everything)

Okay first the vitals-amniotic fluids look great (12.8 up from 9 and 11.9 last week), heart rate and blood pressure everything looks great.

So after the testing we wait and wait-our Doctor was in O.R. so they sent in another Doctor to check in with us. Nice lady Doctor everything is great still no dilation yet.

My wife was on her "day outside the wire" as she is on home bed rest (and actually doing it) so I asked if she wants to go out to have an early dinner. We end up at a strip mall restaurant chain because my wife loves their salad bar. As we are having our burgers her cell phone rings and rings and rings she finally answers it-it is the nurse.

"Okay" "uh-huh" "OH!" is all I hear. My lovely wife closes the flip top cell phone and with no warning no holding my hand not even eye contact just says out loud

"They are going to induce on July 28th we have to be there at 6:30 in the morning"

:spray: :yoiks: :o :scared:

WOW! BAM! that's it! It's official!! (she cracked up as I told this story to my mom later)

So then there's that.

Oh I also took my truck to get checked out by GEICO before the doctor appointment. My "uninsured motorist" insurance covers hit and runs too (we got hit leaving the hospital two weeks ago tomorrow)

TOTALED amongst other things the covering over the front right wheel is unseated from the firewall. The guy is calling me back sometime today with the $$$ figures. I want to keep the truck but we could use the cash right now. At least I get a rental car for 8 days.

So my truck is totaled and my wife is pregnant-she was actually barefoot and standing in the kitchen when I left for work this morning.

9. '87 Toyota
All told it cost us $2,000 but that was a long term investment. It WAS a longterm investment that is.

Good sturdy reliable extra vehicle-actually I was driving it to work (GREAT gas mileage).

19. Something similar happened to my husband earlier this year.
His old but good truck was parked at work when it was totaled. The driver tried to flee on foot, but he was too drunk to get far.

He was actually insured, too. We got a new truck out of it.

Our kids are grown, though. Good wishes to Mrs. UP. She will get through this just fine. Is it your first?

25. I remember when I was pregnant
I was sitting in a traffic jam a few days before I was due, hoping it wouldn't be right then and at a meeting that week, people were wondering why I was there and when I was going to pop!

... when is her actual due date, UP?

Best to you guys!

Well, feel free to ask if you need some parent support after the little one arrives. Let people do for ya, shlep stuff for ya, cook for ya, take it as easy as you can, bring in the troops, and get some sleep if you can! :)
