Coincidence? You decide!

When the Challenger exploded, I was an eighth grader. I was home from school suffering from bronchitis. I'd never had bronchitis in my life until then.

When Columbia broke up over Texas, I had bronchitis.

Last night, when I went to bed, my chest was tight, asthma flare up. I still couldn't breathe worth a darn this morning. A couple of hours ago, my friend at NASA called me, all excited about the launch. I (jokingly) told him that they should scrub the mission because I couldn't breathe. He laughed and said they'd get right on it.

He called me back about fifteen minutes ago. He said "They heard about you and they scrubbed the mission." I figured he was messing with me. I didn't believe the mission was scrubbed. I flipped to CNN, sure enough, the mission is scrubbed. A faulty fuel indicator seems to be the culprit. Now, my breathing is getting better.

So, you decide.

Until I lost my insurance. My asthma is pretty much under control these days. The flare up I had last night/today is the first bad one in a while.

It's funny, because this friend of mine has a rather warped sense of humor. When he called me and told me that they'd lost the space shuttle, my response was, "That's not funny"....I didn't believe him until I saw it on CNN. I didn't believe that the mission had been scrubbed today either, until I saw it on CNN.

For the record, NO, I don't believe everything CNN tells me. I just go there to verify my warped friend's stories. :silly:

I sent him e-mail with links to here, and he says he can't reply to my e-mail. It won't let him from there.

Somehow, the reply to address was wrong. I fixed it and sent another e-mail to him. Guess I can take off the tin foil hat now!
