IE question
I am working on my boyfriend's computer right now on dialup (ughhh). His internet explorer is being a little weird. All the images come up somewhat pixelated, but if you right click the images or right click the page, there is an option to "reload image with full quality" or "reload page with full quality."

That works for the page or image, but how do I make this permanent, does anyone know? I have searched all over the IE options, as well as properties in the control panel, with no luck....

Any help would be great!

3. before I switched to Mozilla Firefox
and the times IE would wack out on me. I just ran repair on it. Go to add/remove software, click on Microsoft Internet Explorer and when the window opens with the option to remove, click on repair. that might take care of it for you. but you really should DL Firefox, very similar to IE but much better.

5. for my own computer
I use firefox, but this is not my own computer :-) I'll highly recommend firefox for him, but in the meantime I'll try the "repair" solution. Thanks.

4. does he use msn network?
msn and some other dial-up ISPs have a download accelerator feature. it lets text download more quickly but seriously degrades image quality. i used this feature before i got cable internet (nananananananananana). the tools or seetings menu is the first place to look. i dont remember the details because after one use i disliked the feature and disabled it.

if you cant find it go to one of the geek BBs where they bitch about microsoft problems.

good luck.

8. Hmmm...
He does use earthlink with their accelerator. We're actually getting cable internet installed this afternoon, so maybe that'll fix it too.... He says this happened after his computer was "repaired" and didn't seem to be related to the accelerator or internet options...

14. OH!!!!! I think I found it!
The earthlink icon has a menu for accelerator options. You can turn the accelerator off for images, and now the images appear to be coming up just fine.

Well, so far :-)

THANKS TO EVERYONE!

9. It's been doing this since his computer was "repaired"
by a local place. It's not my computer, so I don't know if he has all the updates. I just discovered that images could be reloaded with full quality, and I told him I'd try to fix it so it always works that way.
