I might have asked this a while back, but everytime I go for a job interview, I feel like I am wearing the wrong thing. The job that I am interviewing for is a quality manager position at a medium sized food plant. I am guessing that there will be a strong hands on component to the job. I will be interviewing with men. I am 27 years old and am regularly carded for 18 years old. I am an underweight averaged height female. I have a navy blue dress suit. I have a light brown dress with a jacket. I have sleevless flowery dresses. I also have khaki pants and black dress pants. I have sweaters. I have a couple of button up blouses. I have found that if I wear a dress or suit, the interviewer tends to look at me like I would be afraid to get dirty and that I am physically weaker than I am. A couple times when I have worn dresses, the male interviewer seemed to be checking me out.Sometimes when I have gone for the pants route though, they seemed to look at me less professionally. I was hired for my current position wearing dress pants and a shirt. I am not sure what I would be wearing if I got the position, but I don't think that it would be a dress.
