GEICO just called me about my truck
Assessed value (no Kelly Blue Book* or NADA) $1,031.47

If I let them keep the truck they write me a check (-$200 deductible) for $831.47

If I keep the truck (which still runs) (-$150 salvage value) they write me a check for $681.47

I think I am keeping the truck but of course I have to talk about it tonight with my wife.

*-Kelly Blue Book doesn't account for mileage over 150K look the Government Employee Insurance Company (GEICO) didn't get where it is writing checks damn it!!!

BTW- I have a 2005 Nissan Altima for FREE for 5 days. I will post on it high end speed tomorrow

1. Did you speak with the GEICO Gecko directly?

I wouldn't make any final decisions unless you have already done so.

5. Not sure but I am planning on doing it slowly
our IT guy gave me the name of a really good body shop too. He clued me into a great garage near here several years ago.

It runs and I can't replace the TRUCK itself for anywhere close to even the "let them keep it" money.

4. Naw, if they'll take it off your hands, sell the damn thing.
If it goes to shit and stops running, the bill to tow it to a junk yard will really eat into your $681.47

Just don't return the Altima

6. $50 for a tow
if a junk yard comes and gets it they don't even figure the tow into what they pay for junk heaps-this thing is a long way from being a jump heap.
