Everything happens for a reason...
I keep getting told this.

Not as much for my own situation but others with theirs.

And yet I only feel even more apprehensive.

1. Apprehensive with good reason, I think.
'Cause if everything does happen for a reason, WTF are the reasons for truly horrendous things? (like the Bush presidency).

You have to question that designer.

2. I've always hated that phrase
Of course everything happens for a reason. If there was no cause, there would be no effect.

4. But not always for a direct reason.
More often for indirect reasons than direct ones.

All I know is, I keep getting weaker... so I'm starting to care less about my own economic future, the wag-the-dog crap going on, a terror attack at home, or anything. No more FUD.

All I want is a drink and a bonk before I snuff it or, worse, end up in a condition where being dead is preferable. And by golly, that's what I'm going to do. Or at least try.

6. Really weird things happen in my life
And if a former manager who I had conflict with, helps me get hired at his current company, I think that would just be incerdible in a strange way.
No that wouldn't happen, that only happens in literature. Sometimes, life seems like literature though, doesn't it?
I will tell you though, that I have been rescued at the last minute in several cases, sort of like in It's a Wonderful Life.
I don't know if that it comforting or not. Sometimes in literature, the protagonist (as we all are in our own lives) meets a rather tragic end.

7. I believe that is meant to be from a personal perspective
to give us comfort. While we are in the middle of our own personal trauma it is often difficult to see beyond our fear. The panic that accompanies the fear sends us into a greater turmoil which exaserbates the original problem.

peacefulness is helpful at this time
