Maybe I'm showing my age but I just cannot keep up with lightning edits of 1 frame or less.
I know the fight scenes were supposed to have an air of mystery and menace to them from the criminal's POV, but c'mon, I need to see an image for more than 1/64th of a second for this ol' brain to process it.
But overall, it was OK. Art direction was great, and Falcone was one of the best screen gangsters ever. His first scene in the bar was mesmerizing. Very original portrayal. Michael Caine, good choice for Alfred. Katie Holmes very nice on the eyes.
PS: I'm getting way tired of overdone martial arts sequences, too.
