What does Dick Morris think about the Supreme Court Situation?
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 09:42 AM by Zuni
Dick Morris is a complete moron. Lets see what he has to say

Dick Morris, former chief political strategist for Bill Clinton, says President George W. Bush must count on Justice William Rehnquist to quickly retire from The U.S. Supreme Court.

Morris thinks Bush will have to appoint an "extreme right-winger" to replace Sandra Day O'Connor, and thus appease his base. However, if Rehnquist retires, Morris believes that Bush must then appoint a "moderate" to "balance out" the Court. Otherwise, Morris believes, angry voters will elect Hillary Rodham Clinton as the next President of the United States in 2008.

In the first place, why is it that Dick Morris, Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, and John Kerry are never pressed by the media to identify the members of "the extreme right-wing" of the Republican Party ? These liberals throw this term around daily, yet no one in the press corps is ever inquisitive enough to make them attach names to this sinister group of "extreme right wingers".

If the Republicans were constantly attacking the extreme left-wingers in the Democratic Party, you can bet that the news media would demand identification of these individuals. It's very frustrating that even the conservative media doesn't take a hard stand on this.

But, beyond that, why does George W. Bush have to name a "moderate" to "balance out" the Court? Bill Clinton was never challenged by the media when he named two extremely liberal judges to the Supreme Court.

I hope President Bush will listen to his friends, and ignore his enemies. He must name only constitutional conservatives to the U.S. Supreme Court. After all, that was his firm promise to voters in the last two elections.
