I need some Internet Explorer help
Somehow, my IE options decided to go free-lance and do their own thing.

When I open a browser window, there is no longer the little window at the top showing which site I am at. This is the same window with the down-arrow that lets me jump to previous sites or just type in a new address. It ain't there no more.

I've dicked around with it seven different ways and can't bring that window back. Help?

1. Right click on your navigation bar at the top...
That's the bar that lets you go back & forth, accesses history, etc. Make sure "Address Bar" is chosen...

3. Try clicking in the view menu
I think it is called the address bar (have not used IE in awhile). Make sure the check mark is next to the address bar. If it does not come back, then reboot to see if it comes back.

4. Hit the F11 key just to make sure you didn't go to Full Screen
It's a toggle key.

If not, go to View/Toolbars and click on Address Bar

5. Couple of things
First, right click a blank area (no buttons) on a toolbar that still exists. (Maybe the File...Edit...View is still there?) Make sure "Lock the toolbars" is NOT checked.

Then, click View... Toolbars... and make sure "Address Bar" and "Standard Buttons" are checked.

Then, look along the sides of the existing toolbar(s) for the little slider controls. Either a vertical line or a dotted pattern arranged in a small vertical line. Click & drag on those to bring errant toolbars back into view.

8. Used to have innumerable IE problems, so switched
to Netscape 7.1. It works so perfectly, and blocks pop ups that I haven't been tempted to use Firefox or even newer versions of Netscape. Have got N all configured to run exactly like I want it to, so I can recommend Netscape 7.1
