2. Saw the video from it this morning. barf

Jessica Simpson looks trashy, and not in a good way. There is no charm at all about her. I know she isn't exactly ugly, but she isn't cute either - and you need a cutness factor to pull off what they were trying to do in that video or you come across (as it did) looking trashy. And the remake of the song 'Boots are made for walking' really sux.

So we have 1 trashy girl, 1 jackass, and an annoying other cousing duke. Looks like something to not bother with to me. I'll maybe catch it on cable later if there is nothing better on.

3. Catherine Bach was so good as Daisy

it would be nearly impossible to replace her. She was the kind of sexy woman that other woman like; Jessica Simpson doesn't have that appeal.

I saw some show about the Dukes (TV show) and Cooter and I think the guy who played Roscoe were talking about her. One of them said, "That girl could put a quiver in your liver!"

4. Ben Jones is one of my favorite people!

I loved the show and agree with Cooter. Simpson's portrayal of Daisy Duke makes me sick. It is like whoring out Mary Anne from Gillagan's Island- just sick and wrong!

BTW Jones came VERY close to defeating Newt in '94 on the eve of the 'Repub revolution'- he had served a couple of terms in congress before redistricting put him up against Newt. Also Jones wrote a scathing letter regarding 'Zig Zag' Zell Miller last fall.

He is one of the good guys!
