I'm thinking they need to beef up funding for our local library

I took my two little cousins to the library today and we were looking through the children's section for books to check out when I came across the American history books. I don't think a single book was newer than 20 years old. I picked up a book on the presidents and the last president that was profiled was Kennedy! I realize it was just the kids section but still. It's like walking into a time warp whenever I go in there anyway with it's ultra-mod 60's architecture plus the air was broken so it was like an oven in there today. I live in a township with almost 100,000 residents, I think it's about time the library gets a face-lift!

there is a very vocal Republican minority in my community that bitches every time property taxes go up a tenth of a cent. I don't like paying taxes as much as the next person but I feel as if I got an excellent public education here plus all the roads that are getting fixed because their yuppie asses keep moving in from the city and all the excess traffic is ruining them don't pay for themselves.
