Loretta Lynn or Alice Cooper?
They both are going to be performing seperatly near where I live. Which show should I get tickets to see?

1. Tough Choice

I'd probably go with Loretta Lynn; her last album was fantastic. Of course, Jack White probably isn't touring with her.

2. Jack White's given Loretta a lot of "cool" cachet & Alice is a bushkisser.

Plus she's getting on in years.

Plus, Alice is a repug who said something completely stupid in 2004:
The 56-year-old Cooper says he was disgusted to learn the likes of Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, R.E.M., Sheryl Crow, James Taylor and Dave Matthews were hitting the road for a series of concerts designed to help defeat President Bush.

"To me, that's treason," Cooper told the Canadian Press. "I call it treason against rock 'n' roll because rock is the antithesis of politics. Rock should never be in bed with politics."

"When I was a kid and my parents started talking about politics, I'd run to my room and put on the Rolling Stones as loud as I could. So when I see all these rock stars up there talking politics, it makes me sick.

11. I think he is apolitical and was just saying how
he didn't think "Rock" had any place in the political arena....

To each his own...

I'd go see Loretta.....

Alice doesn't live here anymore....

He blew his wad back in the seventies......

I saw him right before 18 hit the play lists in a little club for teens called Cyrus Erie West....

It was great stuff to a ninth grader....

I don't thinks it's all that great when your 47 like I am...

To each his own.....

Just to clarify.

5. I remember that comment ...
it was a really stupid thing to say. :eyes:

I hate the fact that he's a Repug, but since he avoids politics and doesn't actively support the GOP, I can overlook it and still enjoy his music.

This will ALWAYS be one of my all-time favorite albums:

6. It's good that you can separate the art from the artist.
Picasso abused his mistresses, but that won't prevent me from loving his work.

7. I can't always separate them ...
If Cooper was an obnoxious, loud-mouthed neocon, I think I'd have some trouble listening to his music, LOL!

16. I read once that
Picasso would put out his cigars in one of his mistresses' ears -- during parties.

I don't know who was sicker - Picasso or the mistresses who wanted to be around him.

9. Loretta Lynn came and played for us in the office a few years ago
And she was spectacular, warm, kind and wonderful. My vote goes to the Coal Miner's Daughter!

13. Alice was my high school years, but now he's just a big ol' fundy.
He has been saying he was going to retire for awhile now.
