Serious question about GTA:SA & "Hot Coffee" (warning: adult content)

I don't own Grand Theft Auto, and I've been trying to figure out whether there is any sexually suggestive material in the game before you download the hot coffee hack.

It's pretty easy to find descriptions of what the "hot coffee" hack includes - - the main character has sex with a female character and the gamer controls the speed, positions and the camera angle.

What I can't find a good description of, is how much (or little) sexual content is in the original, unmodified game. From what I can piece together, the original, unmodified game includes the main character "dating", and there are six different women characters who he can date, who all have different likes and dislikes. If the female character is satisifed with their date, the main character wins something needed to win part of the game (a pass to get into the casino or a cache of weapons). The main character can try to make the date successful by giving these women characters gifts, including a dildo and a vibrator?

Is that really in the unmodified game? Or is that part of the hack?

Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to get some context about this latest media storm.

4. Grand Theft Auto is rated "M" for mature - - 17 and over can buy it

But games with simulated sex have to be rated "AO" adults only, 18 and over can buy it. But, just like R rated vs. X rated movies, "AO" games don't get wide distribution, while "M" games do.

This dutch hacker created a mod for Grand Theft Auto called "Hot Coffee", which introduces simulated sex into the game (which is already controversial because of it includes cop killings and drug running and other mature themes). The game company is claiming that the simulated sex is not their programming, and that claim is being investigated by the ESRB (ratings board). Several major polls have jumped on this chain of events as evidence that the ESRB isn't doing their job - - that Grand Theft Auto should have been rated "AO" from the start.

I'm just trying to figure out what the game actually contained before the hack.

Are they part of the original game? If so... are they labeled in some way or discussed in some way so that it's clear that's what they are - - that a child who had never seen one would go "What's a dildo and why does he give it as a gift"?

That's my main question.

iirc, neither are directly labeled, but even a 13 y/o will know what they are when they are shown....

a child might figure it out, but as you've already guess, GTA: SA is not for the little kiddie set

is just our 'manufactured controversy' of the week...I mean come on; the game has been out nearly a year, and I haven't even played it for at least a couple of months (I still prefer GTA3 and GTA: VC)...

There's warnings on the box, warnings on the ads, and anyone that has heard of the GTA series knows what its about...I'm not a parent, and I'm not that firm a believer in setting age limits on explicit content, but let's be honest---anyone that isn't at least a teenager probably shouldn't be playing it...I'm 28, and I know more people over 30 playing than under 15...

As an aside, I remember some stores refusing to stock the original GTA game for the pc, with kinda cartoonish violence and next to no sex in it...
