Not really a bad name when you think about it. The "p" sound evokes cuteness. And she'll get lots of extra understanding from teachers and other authority figures while she's growing up -- "Poor child! There ought to be a law against parents who name their children with odd names like that."

Look at it this way. They could have named her Caitlin, Dakota, Madison, Ashley, Taylor, Isabel, or Yellow.
