I actually choose to go to Barnes & Noble late last night looking for to purchase a bird guide book for my hikes.
My god these people are crazier than the Star Wars fanatics. Unfortunately the nature section was right next to the Harry Potter reading section which was overrun by small tykes in capes, wizard hats & Harry Potter stuff.
I totally forgot that many of the big chain book stores would be open late last night with Harry Potter release parties (they could distribute the book after midnight).
Not like no one was talking Harry Potter in the lounge here the past couple of months!

3. LOL. We were at one of those parties last night... |
|
I left my 3 yr old home with my husband and took my 10 and 12 yr olds. It was a lot of fun. I was surprised at how many little kids (like in strollers) were there. There were kids actually asleep under the tables.

It's like kids-at-the-ballpark. Phillies fans are known as a hard-ass cynical, bunch....but when you see those Kids at the Ballpark, before..they get all nasty and cynical -it tears my heart out. The unadulterated love and worship.
So? "Harry-MANIA"? For one night? SURE! Why NOT???! :loveya:

6. you made it out alive ... ! |

Have you tried The Sibley Guide to Birds by David Allen Sibley ? That was our text book for a college course in bird study that I took four years ago ... it's a little big for a field guide but his work was by far the most conclusive at that time.
