Confession time: I love Foghat

Their version of "I just wanna make Love to you" sounds like Black Sabbath playing chicago blues. I love it

3. I'll confess too
Back in the '70s I had all their LPs but now I cannot find them. I really enjoyed listening to them. I would replace them with CDs, but I do not have the money to do so. :-(

5. I just have a greatest hits album
and it is kind of cheesy 70s cock rock, but it still rocks, you know? :P

6. Yeah..when cd's first came out I would get Greatest Hits
but then I missed the continuity of..say Dusty In Memphis versus Dusty's Greatest Hits...so I've at least attempted to get some of my favorite lp's on disc

7. Me too!
When I was a long haired pot smokin' teenager, that was one of the best concerts I went to.

I love "Slow Ride".

Foghat came to Bakersfield when I was a Junior in HS and me and my homeboy (my secret boyfriend at the time) and my homegirls toked up some joints and rocked out!!

9. Oh, no, please God, no . . . they are tied for "worst band ever" with
Cheap Trick.

"I want you to want me
I need you to need me
I'd love you to love me
I'd whip you to whip me"

Okay, the last line--the interesting one--was mine.

Without question, worst pop song ever.

10. Saw Fothat in concert when I was 17 . . .
in Muskogee, Oklahoma. "Rated X" opened for them, and Wet Willy may also have been on the bill (I don't remember . . . it's been THAT many years ago). Just hearing Foghat play "Slowride" was worth the crappy venue and crappy opening bands. :bounce:

13. Slowride. Yeah, look at the lyrics. Slow ride. Take it easy.

Repeat until you throw up.

You Foghat / Cheap Trick / Steve Miller Band babies missed the good shit and ended up having to smoke the ditch weed.

It tastes somewhat like the real thing, but can't get a buzz on . . .

He actually rewrote "Fool For The City" to make it about his DU activities. :D
