Saw War of the Worlds last night |
|
That movie was really something.
I was surprised at how scary it was.
If I had kids, I wouldn't take them to see that movie. I'm thinking I'm going to be pretty liberal when I do have kids as far as what I let them see, but that movie wouldn't be something I'd let them set eyes on until they're well into their teens.
It was pretty messed up.

1. The noise those big walker things made was amazingly creepy |
|
I got a big case of the creeps in that flick. It struck me how that noise was a sort of creepy version of the sound made by the ships in Close Encounters.

2. Yeah, I'm still hearing it, in my mind. Just creepy, creepy stuff. |
|
Was afraid I was going to have nightmares last night.

5. I Warned My 15-Old Daughter That There Were Some Disturbing Parts |
|
and she was completely unfazed. She said "where were those disturbing parts you were talking about?" This is from a girl who refuses to see horror movies. So maybe you have to be older to be scared.

7. It scared the crap out of me. |
|
Those type of movies, where you have to save your kids always frighten me. It brought back memories of 9/11 for me as well. I still have nightmares that I am in the North Tower with the three kids when the plane hits.
I can't stand Tom Cruise, but the look of terror on his face throughout the movie was incredible. The special effects were amazing.

9. the special effects were perfect |
|
They also didn't drown the movie in them also which is nice. The Bassoon noise is very creepy. Overall I thought they did a great job for a remake.
